Omelet is my all-time favorite egg dish, it is quickly prepared and is healthy. Making an omelet at home from scratch is not that tough as it appears. Just follow these directions, and you will be able to get that perfect omelet - just the way you urge for…

Step 1: Prepare your toppings

Always keep all your toppings ready before you start cooking as the eggs approach quickly!

An omelet can be made with almost anything. There are several topping options: - cheese, freshly chopped onion, tomatoes, bell pepper, or whatever perfect combination of toppings you have in your fridge. Avoid overfilling the omelet. Try finely chopped two to four toppings to the max for that perfection.

Step 2: Break that egg and whisk

Break your eggs into a medium-sized bowl; medium-sized bowl makes whisking process easy and quick. Add a dash of water; it gets converted into steam at the time of cooking and makes the omelet fluffy and light.

Beat the egg and water mixture spiritedly with a fork or a whisk until the whites and yolks are blended perfectly.

Step 3: Heat your nonstick pan

 Heat a nonstick pan over medium or medium-high; it will allow the eggs to cook perfectly. Add butter, let it melt and spin the pan to coat the bottom equally.

If you don't have a nonstick pan, spritz the pan with a nonstick cooking spray before heating it.

Step 4: Add the egg mixture

Pour the egg mixture into the hot pan, quickly shake and swirl the pan so that the eggs cover the entire bottom of the pan and let the eggs set a little along the edges for a few seconds.

Step 5: Add the toppings

When the eggs are set on the outside and slightly in the middle, add the toppings. Cook for an additional few seconds. Keep adjusting the heat as needed.

Step 6: Fold the omelet and serve hot

It can be folded in different ways as per individual preference. It can be open-faced, curled in a half-moon, rectangular fold, rolled up or altogether a new style of wrap. Brew out your creativity and fold it with your new twist.

You can garnish with some grated cheese or some fresh herbs. Whatsoever you do, serve it hot.

It works for any meal of the day and tastes great.
